
In Republic of Srpska in BiH, the project addresses topics such as Ethics, Science Education and Open Access, in particular in relation to STEM fields related to ICT and Health.
Its largest city and administrative centre is Banja Luka where also most research and innovation actors are located.
The region is working on its Smart Specialisation Strategy and RRI aspects will further enhance its implementation. Key priorities include Information and Communication Technologies as well as Health.
In the course of WBC-RRI.NET, ethics procedures in academic faculties and trained researchers are further strengthened. Furthermore, broadening of science education is in the focus, reinforcing outreach to primary and secondary schools and improving teaching in science and technology. Another focus is open access, establishing good practices for funding and implementing open science projects and repositories.
