The University of Novi Sad (UNS), is the second largest university in the Republic of Serbia, with around 5000 employees and 50000 students.

UNS belongs to the group of comprehensive universities, which are characterized by providing nearly all fields of science.

The UNS is campus-organized university and its campus is situated at the bank of Danube river close to the well-known Petrovaradin Fortress built in XVIII Century, and the old, historic city area.

It is the only state university in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, comprising 14 faculties, 12 research centres and 3 research & developmental institutes.

UNS has 390 accredited study programmes and encompasses around 250 laboratories. In Shanghai Ranking list, UNS is among 1000 the best universities.

UNS was awarded with a prestigious acknowledgement - the Logo of Excellence in the field of improving the work conditions of researchers. The UNS possesses a high quality human, material and organizational capacity and +180 partner universities worldwide. UNS has a new Science and Technology Park on 28000 m2.
